What is the Study Permit application timeline?

Not taking into consideration school acceptance processing time, the study permit application duration is contingent on the personal supplementary documents you will need to provide in order to support your application. Some of the documents may take you longer to acquire than others. In general, the collection of all the needed documents may take between one month to two months maximum. Depending on the country where you are applying from, the embassy application processing time may take up 6 weeks from the time your application was submitted.

Is the Study Permit acceptance guaranteed?

We cannot guarantee the study permit acceptance. The acceptance is based on multiple factors which include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Your ability to prove that you can financially support yourself to live in Canada during your study period and pay for your education;
  • Your ability to provide the supporting documents which explain your intention to study in Canada and your future plans;
  • Your ability to prove your English proficiency;
  • The agent at the embassy is fully satisfied that you are a bona fide student.
What is the duration of the application process to the Educational Institution?

The application process depends on two factors: the school you apply to and the start date of your desired program.

  • High School Level: You will be able to receive an offer letter/ letter of acceptance within 2 weeks of your school payment deposit, regardless of which school-term you wish to start your studies.
  • College Level: You will be able to receive an offer letter/letter of acceptance within 2 to 4 weeks of school application submission, if the program you wish to study starts within the next school-term. However, if you are applying for a future term, the wait time is longer.
  • University Level: You will be able to receive an offer letter/letter of acceptance within 6 to 8 weeks of application submission regardless of which school-term you wish to start your studies.

These times lines are subject to change based on each individual school.

Are school acceptances guaranteed?

Based on your education history and transcripts, we will assess which program you qualify to apply for. The admissions officers at each respective school will make the final decision based on your grades and on the competition of the seats available for the program you applied for.

Is English proficiency testing required?

Every educational institution requires international students to provide an academic proficiency test that fulfil their specific program requirements, or to take their English as a Second Language (ESL) program. For study permit application purposes, proficiency testing is not mandatory, however should you decide to apply without it you may risk not being accepted.

How much does the study program cost?

Depending on your English proficiency, at the college and university level, you may need to spend between $3,000 to $4,000 per each proficiency level depending on the school. However, for the academic program please plan for the following approximate tuition fee:

  • High School Level – plan to spend approximately $13,000 per academic year, not including room and board. English classes are included in this tuition fee.
  • College Level – plan to spend approximately $14,330 to $17,600 per academic year, not including room and board.
  • University – plan to spend approximately $18,000 to $20,000 per academic year, not including room and board.
